Futuroscope is a theme park, whose attractions were initially based on multimedia and innovative cinematographic, audiovisual and robotic techniques. It is located in the Vienne department, 10 kilometers north of Poitiers, 330 km south of Paris. As the first theme park opened in France, it has attracted a total of more than 50 million visitors since its opening in 1987. It is equally aimed at the youngest with attractions such as « Les Lapins Crétins », « L’Âge de Glace 4D » or the playful city Futuropolis but also at adults with numerous multimedia experiences, attractions such as « Dancing with Robots » or « L’Extraordinaire Voyage », the Sébastien Loeb Racing Xperience or « Objectif Mars », a first roller coaster launched in 2020. Shows : « Les Mystères du Kube » (The Kube Mysteries) is a dreamlike show mixing acrobatics and digital art, » La Forge aux Étoiles is a Cirque du Soleil’s aquatic fairytale evening show with sounds and lights » and « IllusiO, a magical destiny » (magic show).

New in 2017 : The Futuroscope amusement park is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year with the launch of the attraction « L’Extraordinaire Voyage » aka « The Extraordinary Journey » a great flying theater, and also the start of the new magic show « IllusiO, a magical destiny ».

New in 2013 : « Dances with Robots » on a playlist chosen by the famous DJ Martin Solveigyou pair up with a mate in a giant robot arm and get ready to be sent flying into a whirlwind of dizzying excitement, new evening show mixing art and technology told by Nolwenn Leroy (sound, visual and aquatic effects) in an open-air theater of 5000 seats.
New in 2012 : « The Little Prince », an adventure of Saint-Exupéry’s hero in an immersive theatre with sensory effects. Attractions are provided in Imax and Imagic.
Height and size restrictions : no height restrictions to minimum height 1,20m depending on activities
Open every day from 8th of February 2020 to 13th of September, then from 17th to 20th September, from 24th to 27th September, in October from Thursday to Sunday and every day from 19th October to 1st of November, then from 7th to 8 of November, from 11th to 15th November and on weekends from 21th of November to 13th of December, before the Christmas period from 19th December 2020 to 3rd January of 2021. here on the Futuroscope website.
Adult ticket price : Normal fare of €51, but price at €46 for an open 1-day ticket (possibility of discounts for 2 days and more), reduced fare to €36 if taken here in advance by InternetDepending on the time period Child ticket price : normal rate of 41 euros for any day, open ticket (5 to 16 years old included) and free for children under 5 years. Promo rate at 37 euros (dated entry ticket) if bought in advance (D-3 at least) here by Internet – Promo: Free child ticket until March 22nd, 2020!
Parking : rate per vehicle: 9 € (from 8 to 8 the next day) and 4 € (from 4.30 pm to 8.30 am the next day). Tip: to avoid waiting at the exit of the car park, it is better to pay the parking fee upon arrival, at the cash desks or at the automatic terminals.
If you are staying in one of the hotels on the Futuroscope site, you can take the free shuttle bus that rides between the hotels and the park’s entrance (available during school holidays, weekends and public holidays).
Parkings are opened to camper vans and offer free waste water emptying, drinking water refilling and electricity connection (with fee).
